During this day of prayerful reflection and workshops this retreat will explore the unique spiritual characteristics of the male journey and seeks to go to the core of what causes his isolation as compared to the spiritual life of the female. Thady O’Connor, M.A., is married to Carmel. They live in Kilcummin, Killarney, Co Kerry they have four adult children. Thady has a wealth of experience in spiritual development and pastoral ministry. He is a proponent of Hagiotherapy (Holy Therapy) and had the great privilege of attending 5 International Training Seminars in Zagreb under the direction of its founder Fr Tomislav Ivancic. Its a scientific approach to the diagnosing and healing benefits of the spiritual dimension through anthropology and Hagiotherapy. He is also a member of the first Irish group to complete a four-year Certification Program co-founded by Fr Adrian Van Kaam and Dr Susan Muto U S A on Formative Spirituality. An exceptional musician and served as Musical Director coordinator with the Vincentian Mission Team, specialising in the area of enabling Congregational Singing.

Sport science can quantify many aspects of human performance but the spiritual dimensions of sports experience cannot be fully understood through measurement. This programme over two nights looks at what saps our energy and how to overcome negativity and fear from undermining an epic performance. Spiritual scientists have discovered that lack of confidence and concentration emanating from fear is the greatest deterrent to sporting success.
